All that screeched to a resounding halt when I got down to writing the first piece.
Somewhere after my sixth rewrite, I made a frantic call to my husband looking for direction. No big deal. I woke him up at some godforsaken time of the night in the United States of America. Ten years of knowing me have stood him in good stead.
Without missing a beat, he said, "You know how we always say, quickly prepared dishes sometimes turn out better than the most elaborately prepared recipes? Maybe you are just trying too hard."
