This method uses the hair on the back of the head, that is genetically programmed, to grow well past adulthood. This hair is transplanted to the front of the head, using approximately 2000 - 2500 follicles, at one time. The follicles are placed 1.5 mm - 2 mm apart, with the direction determined by your hairstyle.

Since the procedure is performed under local anesthesia, you can choose to stay overnight at the hospital or go home. You will be advised antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medication for five days after the surgery. Within three-four months, hair growth starts in the follicles.
