Should You Alter the Future?

A world where everyone looked 30 and claimed they were just 25. Interesting don't you think? And not entirely impossible either… thanks to Botox. But before you visit "Dr. Make-Me-Young", just wanted to ask - Are you truly prepared to let go of your past?
Shall we start with those laugh lines? You know why they're there don't you? It's from all those times you giggled hopelessly at the college casanova. And where did that first worry line come from? Right there… the one at the top of your forehead. Remember hmming and hawing over your trousseau? Oh, the joy of wedding planning. Seems rather trivial in retrospect but do you really want to forget the biggest day of your life?
Then there's the odd frown line (or two?) from when he replied to an SMS three minutes too late, sided with his mother, worked overtime and didn't bother to call, slept through the 2:00 am colic cries… need I go on?
Now what about the distinct mark of a mother? I'm referring to those lines between your eyebrows from each time you looked disapprovingly at your kids… bad report cards, rising hemlines, curfew negotiations.
And let's not forget that dent your daughter caused when she brought home her first 'true love'. Yes, his flaming red spikes and fiery Yamaha death trap … he was a good one. Too bad they broke up a week later.
Good times, sweet memories. And you want to iron every one of them out! How dare!
But it's not just about erasing the past you know. The future is at stake too. What is to happen to your grandkids? Every fairytale has a wisely wrinkled grandma… do you want to deprive them of theirs?
And you don't want your 25th wedding anniversary to be an episode from The Twilight Zone now, do you? The sanity of your friends and family is at stake here - just how will they be able to tell the difference between then and now?
Lastly, let's talk college reunions. On second thoughts, this might actually work for you. At least when that had-it-all bitch smiles, "You haven't changed a bit", you'll know it is genuine, for once. Or will that be such a good thing after all?
So, are those lines on your face still bothering you? Oh well, don't say I didn't warn you.

Tell us what you think…
