The article's questions on ambitions, relationships and social issues are fine but the money questions are bad.....If indian woman asks such questions iniially to her prospective groom....She might get branded as "gold diggers" as they call in us. With societies changing in india if woman want to set target as man earning more that her always....There could be tough times ahead ..... the questions on ambitions, relationships are right to be asked but the money questiuons are in bad tastes.....Unless to be branded "gold diggers"

Does he loves you or your money? is he after your money or your father's money. does he will be ok of after marriage you decide not to work? will he be able to satisfy you financially? do the grrom think that marriage is specially meant for fulfulling his and his family needs;since the girl earns a good income?

Can men too set upper limits on women's salaries , looks, figures and breast sizes ? Can men ask a woman if she has any fungal infection in her vagina or any vaginal diasease ? grow up, you are looking for a companion, a partner for life, a soul mate! Not doing a business deal.

If marriage is to be viewed as an equal partnership, then women should ask for men who are earning the same as them. However, an upper limit on the groom's salary indicates an unequal hypocritical approach which no intelligent man will ignore. In such cases, i will nod my head and talk sweetly with the woman till she asks, and never see her again. In the current scenario, with attitudes towards marriage changing, women can be expected to become atleast a little less hypocritical.

An indicator of how women view men as means to an end rather than valuing them as persons. Some women view men as gate passes to go abroad, some want a man to take care of their asset liability concerns. If women are independent and equal partners in marriage, why do they want their men to earn certain amount per month ? I will vanish from sight, if any woman even hints at such questions!

Guys take a break.. If a girl asks a guy all these questions at one go, he'd be more than happy to stay single.. The way it works in real life is that the two get to ask these questions to each other over a period of time.. Which will, they hope, would reduce the impact of these questions.. If not, well tough luck....

Lousy article, a sure fire way to stay single. If any woman follows this advice she can look forward to being a spinster for the rest of her life. No woman who listens to this will ever get married in her life, try to use some common sense and have a sense of the culture of your country. If ever a woman were to try to do this to her husband after marriage she can look forward to a messy divorce. what would the bride feel like if she is asked the same set of questions by the groom ?

Well, i wud have to say it is a nice article. Having read thru it and the comments below, here's a guy's take on it :) 1) the list sure helps you (brides) to be atleast 'aware' of important things that may potentially matter. 2) do not take a print out of this and ask each question one by one .. Be smart about it. Include the points about work, ambitions & social customs as a part of 'casual conversations'. It is not good to ask 'take home' salary on the face, however future financial planning can surely be discussed. 3) relationships & physical issues have to be handled very tactfully. This can either leave bad vibes or a good impression based on the way they are handled. Most imp - be aware of the social circle you and your prospective groom are from & decide if/what to ask.
