WHEN burlesque star Dita Von Teese made a glorious entry on the red carpet of Cannes Film Festival 2008, she sure aimed to dazzle.
But we got an eerie Déjà vu looking at the femme fatal.
It was not Dita's fault. It was her Chopard necklace - with pear-shaped emeralds - that made it's third entry on the red carpet, this time on Dita's neck!
Third time lucky? Dita sure seemed to think so.
The first time we saw and applauded the said necklace, it adorned the swan neck of Bollywood belle Preity Zinta.
Then it reappeared on Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele, the Vice President of Chopard, the official sponsor of the event.
We took a closer look at a few other celebs, searching for the same-pinch moments.
Voila! Neck pieces, earrings and bracelets repeated - some even on the same day!
The belles of the ball will always prefer the prettiest thing flashing in their ears and on their necks. We do understand.
Besides, it made us realise: the same piece of jewellery can look super-elegant on one beauty, can make another look totally trashy!
In case of the emerald necklace, we stand by the Indian beauty Preity Zinta. This, since zestful Preity can lend an aura any piece of jewellery she decides to wear!
