YOU know a scarf can do more than one can imagine. From saving a bad hair day to hiding a lipstick smear, or handling a wardrobe malfunction to upping a look, it can magically twist and turn to find solutions to your wardrobe glitches.
Therefore, here is another one of those ways-to-wear-a-scarf stories that can be of help (trust us; they always aid even at the cost of sounding repetitive!). As you read on, besides bumping into the done-to-death ways, you might come across a few methods that can fuel your imagination once again… glean ideas, play on and discover the delight a piece of fabric can bring.

This is where it began
Probably, ‘Sudarium’ (Latin for ‘sweat cloth’ that was used as a head covering for the Jesus of Nazareth after he died) was one of the ‘forefathers’ of a scarf. Romans (during ancient times) also contributed to developing it as a functional and decorative element. In 1000 BC, excavators found Chinese statues with fringed, rectangular cloth pieces adorning them.
Thus, a scarf is not fashion’s new discovery but a been-there-done-that article. Yet you can play with this age-old element with ease and create ingenious looks. You could use a scarf of any size — from 14 inches to 48 inches (as big as shawls) — depending on its usage and opt for any of shape — square, oblong or triangle.
