Fold or roll a scarf neatly. Do not crease.
Wrap it in muslin and/or store it in a box. Alternatively, you can hang it on a padded hangar.
Iron it on low temperature (if silk). If you want to remove creases, lightly steam iron it using a top cloth.
Pack it off only for dry clean when it is soiled.
While storing it in a box, pop in an herb sachet (available at beauty or cosmetic stores) or make your own dried herb mixture — lavender, mint, thyme and clove.
You can make your own pouch with a square piece of leftover fabric — finish the sides neatly and run a colourful ribbon or thread along all the sides with a needle, pull and make a pretty bow. Now, fill it with the herb mixture and store it along with the scarf.
