Hands Full
Bangles never go out of style, as long as you wear the ones in trend. Go for thin silver and gold bangles this season. They go with almost everything - from a tank top to a chiffon blouse.
Wooden bangles are also quite the rage; so get yours in different colours and cool prints. Wear them in two contrast shades, like red and brown, and match them with a plain black top.
You can also go for large oxidised bangles with intricate designs on them. They look great with short kurtas as well as vests teamed with flowing skirts.
If you love to layer then go for beaded bracelets. You can team bracelets of beads of different sizes, colours and even materials. But make sure you wear them in one hand only.
Belt On!
Thin is out, broad is in! Pick from a wide variety of leather belts with more than one buckle. Love bling? Go for belts with large studded buckles.
If belts are not your thing, wear chunky gold waist chains to give you that casual chic look.
Necking Around
Large neckpieces are in again, so dig into your mum's jewellery box for large pendants. For an ethnic look, go for a large wooden pendant tied to a thread.
Make your own style statement by wearing several gold chains the way Jennifer Lopez did in the song "If you had my love…"
Remember, one large piece of accessory is enough to make an impact, so make sure you don't over do it!
Bag-it!
Neon shades are not only making it big in the international fashion market but are also entering the Indian market in a big way. But more than clothes, bags are grabbing all the attention!
A handbag in neon shades of pink, yellow and orange is ideal to carry when you head out for that night out of clubbing. With a white shirtdress and matching boots, you are sure to make heads turn!
A large tote bag with a Hindi print on it is great for Sunday shopping. Pick one in bright yellow or purple.
Trendy Toes
Go high on heels. Get a pair of metallic stilettos or be comfortable in a pair of wedge heels. Ankle huggers are the latest in boots. Even if you are not a boot lover you will sure want to own a pair of these.
Satin tie-ups are very much 'in', team them with a knee length skirt or Capri pants.
You can use funky jewellery in your daily wardrobe. Fashion designer Nalanda Bhandari tells us how…
- Team a large pendant with a shirt. It will surely create an impact at work.
- Chains are very much in. Not the thin ones, but fat chunky ones similar to a braid of chains. Team this with a white t-shirt.
- Wear a large size shirt and team it with a large leather belt worn just below the bust.
- Plastic bangles of different colours would look great if teamed with a casual t-shirt and your favourite pair of jeans.
