No, he wasn't having a party with his foreign friends. Paul is an avid collector of masks from South and South-east Asia and has used his passion to decorate his home.
Here are a few tips he shares on decorating your home with masks.

'But why masks?', you ask. "Masks are great conversation starters," says Paul. "Whether your guests like the mask or not, they are bound to strike up a conversation about it," he explains.
You can also break the monotony of the walls and enhance the colours in the room, if you choose them with care.

Now don't go collecting masks randomly.
First, pick a theme. For instance, you could only have Indian masks or only masks of human faces. "But avoid masks of only a particular material as each culture or tribe uses different materials," advises Paul.
How to Buy
A mask is so much more than a decoration. It reflects the place and the people who make them. So the best place to buy a Thai mask would naturally be Thailand. Besides being authentic, local handicrafts are a whole lot cheaper. Of course, you will need to consider the customs and duties involved in bringing it back.
But don't look too far. Places like Delhi Haat in Delhi and Chor Bazaar in Mumbai have some exquisite masks at reasonable prices. You could also visit handloom exhibitions and street fares for some real steals.
Avoid urban stores as they cater mainly to tourists and do not sell authentic products. Also, very often the wood used for these masks is either old or untreated and could disintegrate.
