Quick Picks
Back from school, kids want to run outdoors to play. Keep a few easy combinations ready for her to quickly change into.
Cotton pants, shorts and plain t-shirts in different colours are a must. Team sleeveless tops with capris and strappy tops with jeans. Make sure the clothes are not too tight. For fitted pants, always go for cotton with Lycra.
Skirts look great but can your daughter enjoy the see-saw in them? Instead, pick a 'skort' - a skirt with inbuilt shorts. Sleeveless denim jackets look really cool. Team them with denim shorts and a tee.
Homework Time
Does your daughter dress like a rock star to her tuition class? This could be the reason behind her low grades.
For after school study time, pick clothes that are less distractive. No more beads to fidget with and no eye-catching colours. Go for soft pastel shades in floral prints or checks. Team cotton skirts with loose tops. Long summery dresses are great too; just make sure they are loose.
Rock the Party
Your party animal wants to run around and be comfortable. So don't try to dress her like a fashion model. Tight Lycra evening gowns are a complete no-no. Instead, pick clothes that are child-like yet feminine.
Children are fascinated by lace. Make sure you add pretty lace tops and skirts to their party wardrobe. Embroidered denim pants are great for a birthday party. Make sure they are not heavy denims with Lycra. Instead go for light, shirt denims. Team with a girly off-shoulder top and your darling daughter is ready to rock the party!
Says television anchor Pooja Bedi, mother of 8-year-old Aleya, "Aleya loves to wear feminine clothes, like skirts and spaghetti tops to parties. On festivals she will dress in a ghagra-choli with lots of accessories."

Bags are a girl's best friends! A stylish school bag will make them look forward to school. A trolley bag from the Barbie collection is a great idea to give her back a rest. Not to mention a Barbie lunch box and bottle holder to go as well!
