Which is THE skirt?

A brightly coloured or unusually decorated, short or long wrap skirt with a tee, vest, a kurti-top or structured top can attract the right amount of attention.
The groovier or experimental you are the better it gets!
After all, it is fun all the way. Play with summer trends — flounce, frills, eclectic prints and sunny ornamentation.
What are the to-match accessories?
Go either for a funky or for a classy look.
Try wearing
- boots, wedges or peep-toes with a short wrap, or
- ballerinas, ‘Kolhapuri chappals’ or thongs with a long skirt.
If you are stepping out, carry a dump-all tote or a dainty clutch.
Finally, slip in a leather or metal wrist wrap and/or neckpiece for that extra zing.
Can I wear it?
Yes, you can as most wrap skirts suit majority of body types.
They hide flabby thighs or heavy hips (when worn with a longish top).
Alter the fabric, prints and decoration for the desired effect. Go easy on them to look slim (try a monochromatic palette).
Alternatively, wear a style with pockets or surface ornamentation to create an illusion of width.
Alternatives:
A volume skirt — tulip or a bubble/puff skirt. Y
ou can also try the forgotten Hobble (but with a comfortable ease at the knees).
However, these look chic on thin, slim-hipped and tall frames so wear one with care.
