Which is THE skirt?
You could experiment with a knee-length, mini or a calf-length asymmetric skirt (according to your comfort level) with a tube and a shrug, or a gathered blouse, kaftan top, a décolleté neckline or a cowled top.
The skirt looks the best when constructed in soft fabric— chiffon, georgette, satin or knit.
Look as sensuous as you can!
What are the to-match accessories?
They can be anything classy or classic.
Try to avoid funky or sporty numbers.
Go with pearls, precious or semi-precious stones, silver, matte/Egyptian gold or platinum (include a statement/rock ring).
Slip into stilletoes, pointy-toed heels or stylish peep-toes.
Carry a box clutch or a jewelled pouch (smaller the better… anyways you are not paying, are you?).
Can I wear it?
Yes, you can but remember: an asymmetric skirt is all about hemline going askew so choose a style according to your shape.
It should be uber-short (for slim bods), knee-length (for medium to petite) and long for tall frames.
Caution: Do not wear anything overwhelming if you not too confident of flaunting it.
Alternatives:
A fit-flare (fitted at the waist with a yoke and flares out with frills, godets, on bias or with a wide A-line) or a Ra-Ra mini skirt, are great styles if you are slim-hipped or thin.
