If you are thinking 'I don't need a bunch of makeover ideas for my bathroom. I don't have the money anyway', think again.
Now, you can have a brand new bathroom in under 15k!
Inexpensive Ceramics
Tile the walls of your bathroom to prevent them from getting stained. But don't tile them right to the top. Up to two feet below the ceiling would be perfect. Simply paint the rest of the wall and the ceiling too in a neutral colour.
Pick and choose from a wide range of ceramic tiles. They are much cheaper than granite and marble. Choose from brands like Varmora, Kajaria and Euro that stock tiles in the price range of Rs.16 to Rs.30 per sq. ft.
It should cost you not more than Rs.7500 to tile an average size (4ft. by 6ft.) bathroom. But in case you find tiles a strain on your pocket, invest in good quality washable paint from companies like Nerolac or Asian Paints. The cost of paint may vary from Rs.10 to Rs.20 per sq. ft.

Unique Patterns
Ditch the themed tiles and motifs. They are way too expensive. Choose 8 by 8 inch tiles in two or three solid colours instead. Arrange them in a unique pattern on the walls. You could have checks, stripes or even zigzag patterns.
For the flooring, choose single square foot tiles in a light colour like white, off white or pastel shades. They are cheaper and make cleaning a whole lot easier.
Simple Divides
Use a simple tiled ledge (about 5 inches high) to divide the toilet area from the shower area. Add on a plastic shower curtain. They are available in bright colours and prints for just about Rs.200.
Shower cubicles are made of acrylic or glass, which is quite expensive. Besides, they make your bathroom look smaller.

Sleek Storage
A cabinet below the washbasin not only takes up space but isn't very economical either. You would have to make it of wood, which is sold by the sheet.
Glass, on the other hand, is a cheaper option because it is sold by the square foot.
You could have trendy glass shelves fitted around the bathroom. Place one in the shower area and couple of them in the toilet area. They are great to display bath essentials like shampoos and shower gels.
