Rs.2000 for just a faucet? Forget it.
You don't need fittings from international brands to make your bathroom look good. Local brands like Seiko, Essco and Opera have elegant faucets that cost approximately Rs.300 each. Single levered faucets from Jaguar or Marc are slightly more expensive i.e. approximately Rs.625 each.

For sanitaryware like the washbasin and water closet (WC), try brands like Hindustan, Classica and Soncera.
A washbasin would cost you anywhere from Rs.350 to Rs.500.
Choose floor mounted water closets. They cost about Rs.1500 as opposed to wall-hung water closets that cost about Rs.2500. Add on a seat cover for just Rs.200.
Get yourself a geyser for those winter months. Brands like Bajaj, Racold or Venus sell geysers for less than Rs.2000.

Attractive Windows
Try powder coated aluminium louvers for the window. They might cost a few extra bucks but they are worth every rupee.
Make sure to use opaque glass for the shutters to keep away the peeping toms.
