Curtains are another way to give your room a different touch. Stay away from designer furnishings that start at Rs.350 per meter. Instead, visit your local furnishings store for lovely embossed fabrics, lace sheers and more for around Rs.65 to Rs.150 per meter.

Small potted plants are also an interesting way to add life to the décor. Place them on the windowsill or even on your dressing table.
