With all that grandeur wouldn't you want to spend your entire day in the confines of your bedroom?
An antique Chippendale study desk with intricate English carving can be placed in one corner of your room. You could have fine leafing (inlay work in the shape of leaves) done on the table top in gold, steel or bronze. If that doesn't appeal to you modify the table with a mosaic or marble tabletop.

Include an antique armchair with curved handles studded with semi precious stones for a dramatic look.
Lazy Lounge
Feel like lazing around all day? Create a cosy lounge area in one corner of your bedroom. Separate it from the rest of the room with a richly textured red wall as a backdrop.
Place two elaborate armchairs in wood or even in a metallic finish like brass or silver with matching footstools. You could use rich jamavar material with a self-embossed print on it for the upholstery. Try colour combinations like turquoise with silver embossment, cream with gold or red with gold. Choose decorative black or red cushions that are heavily embroidered. But avoid very bright colours, as they tend to kill the ornate look.
Instead of a traditional ornamental coffee table in wood or metal try something different. Use a wooden trunk or one with a metallic finish. Fill it with Swarovski crystals and semi precious stones. You could have strings of pearls hanging over the rim of the trunk.
Leave the trunk open so that the contents are visible. Lay a slab of glass over it to work as a tabletop. You could also try putting articles that have sentimental value like your wedding saree or wedding album in the trunk.
