Carrie Fisher, whom we all fondly remember as Princess Leah from the blockbuster trilogy, Star Wars, is also the offsrping of 50s superstars Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher.
Eddie left Debbie for Elizabeth Taylor when Carrie was just a toddler. And after that, Carrie was raised by her mother, the legendary actress Debbie Reynolds.
One of Debbie Reynold's most memorable movie appearences has been in the Gene Kelly starrer Singing in the Rain. If you have not watched the movie yet, make it a weekend watch! This musical film beautifully brings out the creativity and essence of early Hollywood cinema. A must-watch scene: The Singing in the rain song sequence. (It will melt your heart, we say!)
Carrie Fisher went on to become one hit wonder for the Star Wars Trilogy and after that in the romantic comedy When Harry met Sally. She has also made several appearences in TV shows.
