You even keep pillow barriers to make sure your baby is safe. But suddenly you hear a "thud". Your baby has crawled her way over the pillow barrier and has fallen off the bed.
Even though you might want to panic, make sure you stay calm. Here is what you need to do.
Do Not Panic!
The bones do not break with small falls. Bones in an adult's body are hard and so they break or get injured with the slightest fall."
Similarly, the bones near your baby's brain are not joined as rigidly as in adults. They are connected by a small membrane. So when your baby falls off a chair or bed, her bones move and shift easily and so the balance is maintained.
Also, if your baby eat properly, sleeps normally and starts playing soon after the fall, you need not worry.
When to Worry
If she ruptures a vein or if there is a blood clot in her brain will she have sensory problems, some brain development problems in the long term.
