Realisation Dawns

Chandrasekaran A. R., 56, and his wife Mathangi, 55, had no clue they were married on Valentine's Day, until nine years later! Says Chandrasekaran, "We married in 1983; it was only in 1992 that we realised that our wedding and Valentine's Day is on the same day!"
So, what was the feeling like when they came to know about it? "We felt special that we were married on a day used to express love," says Chandrasekaran.
The couple had a huge get together for family and friends on their ninth wedding anniversary to celebrate their love.
Nothing Special
Homemaker Dipali Mehra tied the knot on February 14, 1993. "I am from a small town (Moradabad in UP). So, even though Valentine's Day was a trend in India around then, it was a strictly urban trend. I had no clue," she reveals.
Luckily for Dipali, her Mumbai based husband Milan Mehra it was in with the times. Milan did give her a Valentine's Day card on their wedding day. "But, that was it; there was nothing special about it," she says.
