If you are contemplating a better offer elsewhere, consider these criteria so that you make a well thought-out decision.
Increments and Perks Delayed
In some companies, salary increments are delayed for months together. This can be very dangerous if you have expected the increment to come by a particular time and have made your personal and other plans on that basis.
For instance, if you have taken a home loan and need to pay EMIs or even if you have planned a family vacation, you would find yourself in a tight spot.
If your salary is on par with the current market salaries for senior level executives in your field, are they getting certain privileges that you are not?
For example, if you don't get a company car or a driver's salary, your travelling expenses would definitely be a lot more than someone who does get this facility. Therefore, though your salaries may be same, you are losing out monetarily.

When jumping your job for money it is important to know your worth in the market. Your exposure to the latest developments and technology and the number of years of experience will increase your market value. Ideally, at a senior level you should not jump your job for less than a 40% hike in salary.

Unfulfilled Promises
Say you were promised a particular sum of money or a promotion on completion of a project.
After the project got completed there was no mention of the hike or may be the company is in no position to fulfil the promise.
Here is another common scenario. Say you are a sales manager and have been assigned a particular region with a target of 1 crore. Your salary has both a fixed and variable component. You achieve a target of 1.25 crore and therefore, you should be paid a bonus for the exceeded targets. However, you land up getting paid a very small sum for the extra target you have achieved.
This is likely to make you want to consider jumping your present job. However, before you do so make sure to speak to the senior level management about the situation. If you are clear that nothing can be done about it, may be it would be advisable to move out.
