Says fashion designer Agnimitra Paul of Kolkata, "The colour of the season is pink. Pink is a soft and delicate colour. This goes with the look this season, which is still feminine and elegant. In India dresses are still in though internationally they are out. The look this season is thus elegant and feminine and a long flowing pale or pastel pink dress would be ideal."

Shocking pink may not be the colour of the season but Melania Trump seems to carry it off very well.

In fact, summer presents a welcome challenge for the designers who want their creations to be wearable yet shine brightly on the fashion radar. Summer fashion this time is all about youthful playfulness and subdued elegance.
