Do not worry. Here are a few things that you need to consider before trying for a baby.
Time to Try
Before you try for another baby, you need to consider your overall health. Get a full check up done to remove any sign of complication.
If you had a miscarriage with not much bleeding, you need to wait for at least three months before you try for a baby again.
However, if you had heavy bleeding, you need to wait for at least six months. This is because the heavy bleeding will make you anaemic and weak.
Also, get your haemoglobin checked to ensure that you have no thyroid problems.
You also need to consider the cause of the miscarriage. If the miscarriage was due to some injury, you need to wait till you recover completely.
If all these points are kept in mind, as soon as you get two or three regular menstrual cycles you can prepare to conceive. Just remember to get your doctor's advice before you try.
Ovulation Period
If you have a regular menstrual cycle then 14 days before your next period plus or minus four days is considered as your fertile period or the time when you will ovulate.
In order to know your fertile period, it is necessary that keep a track of your menstrual cycle. You need to know how regular your cycle is and your cycle duration (28 days, 30 days).
If you are unable to find out about your ovulation period, then you can monitor your ovarian follicle's size by way of an ultrasound while you are menstruating. An ovarian follicle goes on increasing in size and after a certain stage ruptures to liberate ovum or eggs in your body.
You may be required to take an ultrasound five to six times to monitor the varying size of the follicle.
While you are ovulating, you need to have regular sex with your partner. If not on a daily basis, at least every alternate day.
