You can do certain things for help, but should never give your baby laxatives or suppositories.
There could be multiple reasons why your baby is not passing stools.
Not the Right Position
If your baby has the habit of standing and passing stools, you may want to change her potty habits. Not using squatting position while passing stools can lead to constipation in some babies. Make sure that your baby is potty-trained as soon as she can stand to avoid unnecessary complications.
The Wrong Food
You may want to pamper your kid with biscuits and bread. These foods contain maida which is difficult to digest. Make sure you avoid giving your baby food made of maida.
It is better to avoid foods that are high in iron and calcium, if your baby is not passing stools.
What Not To Give
You may be tempted to give your baby laxatives to ease her situation, but it is advisable that you consult your doctor about it first. Never use suppositories to open your baby's anus. It may harm her internal organs and irritate her bowels.
The Right Food
The best food to give your baby at this time is food with a lot of fibres such as oats and fruits with fibre.
You can also soak raisins overnight, pulp them and feed the pulp to your baby.
Also make sure your baby is getting a enough amount of water.
Keep your baby on natural foods such as rice and dal.
Breastfeeding
Breastfeeding may be the best solution to ease constipation. Since it is easily digested and has a lot of water content, it helps babies stay healthy and not get constipated in the first place.
If your baby is constipated while on breast feeding, it's an indication that you are feeding her too many times.
