If you deliver before 34 weeks of pregnancy, your baby is likely to have breathing complications as her lungs develop completely only after 34 weeks.

How You Can Prevent It
Eat a nutritious diet inclusive of lots of vegetables and fresh fruits. You need to have small and frequent meals while you are pregnant to avoid indigestion and pressure on your bowels. If possible, get a complete check-up done of your reproductive system before you start trying for a baby.
Also, get your blood pressure and diabetes under control with regular exercise. If you were anaemic before pregnancy, get treated for the same even before you try for a baby to avoid preterm labour pain.
Heart Disease
Heart disease is a by-product of high blood pressure and according to Dr. B Rao's study, almost 22 per cent of women suffer from haemorrhages or bleeding during pregnancy.
Dr. Jha explains, "If you develop a heart condition before or during pregnancy, it could complicate the pregnancy. This is because any kind of heart problem cuts down 30 percent of blood supply in your body as your heart is unable to pump enough blood to your body. As a result, chances of a heart attack are greater. Apart from that, there is reduced blood supply to the unborn baby which in turn could lead to a premature delivery or a terminated pregnancy."
