Initially the movements will feel like hunger pangs and gas pains but slowly you will begin to differentiate between them.
Some babies move more than the others, so there is nothing to worry if your baby does not have too much movement during the first trimester.
Your baby's movement is affected by sleep, sound, time of day, and your activity level.
Try to keep a record of your baby's movement by counting how many times the baby moves in a day.
The Baby Sleeps
If your baby does not move for 2 to 3 hours after the seventh month don't panic. The baby also needs to sleep and get some rest. Every baby sleeps for different time spans. But if the baby does not move for 5 to 6 hours call your doctor immediately.
Important Tests
The Bio Physical Profile test is a must after the fifth month of your pregnancy. The test determines the progress of the baby's growth.
Foetal movements are one of the sections of the test and the value for this test needs to be 6 and above
C-Section Position
If you can feel movements in the lower right or left side of the abdomen, the baby's getting into the ideal breach position.
In other cases of C-section you are likely to feel frequent movements in the lower abdomen or mid-abdomen.
