The most happening trend right now, according to Blossom, is the 3D effect on your nail with the help of the acrylic paints. The 3D concept is originally from China. It is done with acrylic paints with the help of computer graphics.

A graphic will be designed on PC with design softwares and printed on artificial nails. This type of nail art can cost you anywhere between Rs 500 to Rs 1000 per fingernail.
If you have short nails, you can go for false nails on which the nail art is done and pasted on your original nail and when you wish to get rid of the nail art you need to remove your false nail. Make sure you ask the nail artist about the ways to remove the false nail.
Blossom advises, "If you used acrylic paint on your nails, remove it by using a good nail polish remover. Avoid going for acetone-based removers as they could harm your nail enamel".

If you choose to have crystals and other jewellery on your nails, a false nail is clipped with the jewel and pasted on top of your original nail. So removing the artificial nail will remove the nail art as well
Generally the paints and other materials used in nail art are non-toxic; it will not harm your nail in anyway.
You can keep the nail art as long as you like. However, make sure you ask your nail art artist for confirmation that the materials used are non-toxic.

Even after this, if you are still apprehensive, make sure you don't paint your nails upto the skin adjoining the nails. Keep some gap between the skin and the nail end to make sure that the paint doesn't interfere with your eating.
Nail art is available everywhere in India. Make sure you approach a good, reputed beauty salon and find more details.
Blossom recommends Nail Bar in Bandra, Mumbai and world-renowned nail artist Muthulakshmi from Chennai as good options.
Nail art can cost you anywhere in range of Rs.1800 to Rs.6000. It depends on what type of nail art you go for. If you go for simple painted designs, it shouldn't cost more than Rs.1,800.

However, if you choose to go for the ones with jewellery like gold and diamonds, it may cost as high as Rs.6000. Nail jewellery is now commonly available at regular jewellery stores.
Quick Care Tips
There is no special care you need to take before going for a nail art procedure. However, just make sure that an antiseptic lotion is applied on your nail just before the nail artist applies the primary coat. This is to avoid any kind of infection.
After the completion of the design, apply a good quality hand cream and cuticle lotion at night. This is to make sure your cuticles and fingers stay soft and do not get infected in any way.
