Singer Manasi Scott was 12 when she went on her first date. Her father's colleague's son asked her father if he could ask her out.

Manasi says, "I was surprised when my father approved. He took me to see a play by Andrew Lloyd Webber and then he dropped me off at 10:00 pm."

"My parents always tease me about my first date and I never seemed to admit it up to now…" she laughs.

No Coffee Please

Actor Bobby Darling met his date in the college canteen. Bobby bought something form the canteen and had no change. He then asked this boy if he had any change to make.

Bobby says, "We got talking then. We asked each other things like our course details and where we lived. An exchange of numbers followed and before long he asked me out."

He asked Bobby out for coffee but Bobby turned him down. "I didn't drink coffee and suggested we go out for a meal," says Bobby.

They went out to a Chinese restaurant in North Delhi. Even though it was lunch, the restaurant was cosy with candle lights and soft music in the background.

"I was very conscious because I really liked him and did not want to do anything wrong. I knew I was different and I was wondering how he would react. But all went well and we had a nice time together," ends Bobby.

First Date Trouble

Channel V VJ, Anushka was in college when she had her first date. Since their parents were strict, a group of three girls and three boys decided to go for a movie together.

Anushka says, "Since our parents insisted on a chaperone, each of us told our parents that the other's parents were accompanying us. That of course was a lie."

They went for 101 Dalmatians and had a terrific time. It did not end well though because their parents figured out what they were up to and they got caught.
