16 years and two children later Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta decided to go their separate ways. In fact the two were married even before Aamir's first film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak in 1986. However Aamir revealed his marital status only after the release of the movie (which happened to be a hit).

• The Split

Reena is supposed to have said that Aamir is a closet womaniser. She stuck with him through all the rumours that linked him with Mamta Kulkarni, Pooja Bhatt and Rani Mukherjee among a few others.

Reena finally decided that she wanted out after a few more rumours.

• The Present

Aamir has since had an affair with an English actor before tying the knot with Kiran Rao. She was an assistant director of Lagaan and they are supposed to have met on the sets. Rumour has it that a little over a year into the marriage, all is not well in paradise.

Neighbours claim that the couple have not been spotted together in a long time. But people close to the couple deny that there is any trouble in the marriage.
