1. Doorway facing any direction other than the northeast.

The northeast direction is governed by water and water signifies wealth and financial status according to Vaastu. Also Lord Kuber, who is the God of wealth, governs the north. So having your doorway opening up to the northeast is good for your financial prosperity.
