Bejan Bharucha, head of retail of The Bombay Store gives his take on the minimalist look. He says, "This look is ideal for today's apartments that are quite small.

It fulfils the need for open spaces in today's age where everything is so cramped up." He picks up the two must haves from the store.

Three in-one table set

This table is handmade and comes in a set of three. This set adheres to the minimalist look as it is space saving and has a multi purpose.

Since the tables are one below the other you can take any of them out only when the occasion arises. This set would cost you Rs 16,000.

Bejan's tips:

• Just keep the basic furniture at home. We tend to collect a lot of things while shifting from one place to the other, avoid that.
• Have a fold down wall table in the kitchen which you can use as a dining table. In this manner it won't eat into your kitchen space and you will be saving the dining space in your hall.
