For all Practical Purposes
Let's get over with the practical stuff first… the bathroom! Instead of a simple single mirror, go with one that is multi-functional. Choose a mirror with a stand for your toiletries as well as the hand towel.
Besides the basics, you could also place a showpiece or a plant on the shelf space. It is sure to spruce up the bathroom. These wall mounted mirrors come with wooden and wrought iron frames. They are great space savers.
Let there be Light
Passage ways are usually neglected spaces. So add a little pomp with a floor to ceiling mirror across one wall. You could couple this with tracks lights and maybe a long rug. This is sure to make visitors feel like they are walking down the red (err… multi-coloured) carpet.
But if a floor to ceiling mirror make you terribly conscious each time you walk by, then you might want to swap it for a simple floor mirror. Create a focus area with the mirror and a few floor curios and you are good to go. A passage mirror is also ideal to for that final once over before you leave home.
Throw some light onto that wall niche with a couple of metallic framed mirrors. Use these in varying sizes and shapes. You can combine this with an elaborate wrought iron chandelier from yesteryears. And voila! You have got yourself a very a kitschy, yet funky ambience.
