Well, here are a bunch of useful ideas to decorate the corners and make them look stunning or simply make them useful.

A plant can work wonders for any space and the corner is no exception. So go ahead place a tall potted plant in the corner. But make sure to accentuate it with a brass or stone planter. You could also include a lattice that fits into the corner. Entwine creepers like money plants and flowering creepers too into the lattice.

Go a step further and enclose a semicircular area on the floor in the corner. Tile the area with gorgeous mosaics or with larger tiles that have the look of mosaic. Then fill it up with water. Your guests and the kids will have a fun time throwing rupees into the wishing pond!
On Display
Who said a wall unit has to be a bulky piece of furniture? Go in for a sleek one that fits directly into your corner space. You don’t even need a very large framework.
All you need is a glass fronted cabinet that will also work as a counter for a pretty vase maybe. Then include a couple of shelves above it. Start with wider shelves and go narrower as you go up. You can put various things on display like curios, photo frames, vases and even artefacts.
Don't let the space in the corner of the cabinet get wasted simply because it is difficult to reach for stuff in there. Opt for a rotating CD rack that is similar to a lazy Susan (a storage stand used in the kitchen that rotates). It can be neatly fitted into the cabinet.
All Sprawled Out
Is your idea of relaxing just chilling out with a cuppa chai on a mat in your living room? Well, if you have already got your sofas and the works, a corner would be the perfect place to roll open your chatai on a warm summer's day.
Try a simple cane mat with zari borders or you could also go with a soft dhurrie with abstract prints on it. Cushion the wall around the mat to make this zone comfy. But if you prefer something more temporary, that can be put away quickly, go with colourful throw cushions.
If you are a follower of Vaastu, you might want to keep those corners in the north and the east of your living room open. The southern and western corners, however, are great for placing furniture.
