"A digestive biscuit is recommended as it is less in calorie content. However, you need to eat even that in consideration. That is not more than two to three a day," says Nutritionist Naini Setalwad.
Normal or Atta Noodles

"Until and unless the product mentions that it is made of whole grains, it is not healthy as it says," explains Naini.
For example, a leading noodle brand has new product made of wheat. However, the basic ingredient involves a combination of refined flour and atta (wheat flour), which is exactly what you get in a regular pack.
With Sugar or Sugar Free
Are artificial sweeteners a healthier option?
"No, especially since most brands contain aspartame, which is not healthy. However, there is a healthier option available called sucralose. It is a healthier option to cut down on your sugar intake than opting for artificial sweeteners," informs Naini.
The Right Choice
If you are watching your calorie intake, don't hoard on high calorie food.
Instead of going for canned or packaged diet products, opt for fresh vegetables, whole grains and fruits for a balanced diet.
Don't go for three heavy square meals a day. Instead, take small portions of food at regular intervals. This will make sure that you don't overeat and at the same time ease the hunger pangs.
Exercise. There is no two way about its benefits. Even a moderate amount of 10 - 20 minutes per day is enough to keep you in shape and healthy.
So the next time you decide to pick that packaged "healthy" diet soup, remember to check the ingredients on the pack. Be an educated consumer. Sort through the claims and avoid the scams.
