Brunch food

If you thought you would only find the juice and toast breakfast at a brunch you haven't seen anything yet. A brunch has this and more. The menu is mostly a buffet replete with starters, main course and desserts.
Mediterranean, Pan Asian and Italian cuisines are hot favourites at brunches.
At a recent brunch we were served breadsticks with dips, including hummus and pita bread for starters. Lunch included an assortment of grilled meats - kebabs with different marinades, Malaysian rice noodles, Thai curries and rice.
"Since brunch is breakfast and lunch, people don't want to have just bread and eggs, hence a meal with lots of grilled meat and veggies is what we serve," says Vinod, executive chef at Dio's.
"Brownies, fruit flavoured ice-creams and mousses are the most favoured brunch desserts," adds Vinod.
