According to Dr. Dhanu, any sexual activity should be avoided at all costs, but only during the first trimester.
This is simply because in the initial stages, your baby's vital organs are developing, and during this time, sex can hamper this development.
2. Picking Weights
Dr. Dhanu says lifting weights should be a complete no-no during pregnancy. However, you can pick up anything that is less than two kilos.
So, if you want your morning tea in your bed, you really cannot make the "I cannot pick up heavy things" excuse!
3. No Hospital Visits
Try not to visit a hospital for any reason apart from your own doctor's checkups and appointments.
According to Dr. Dhanu, in a hospital, you could be exposed to any stray infections that could affect you and your baby.
4. No High Heels
Say no-no to high heeled shoes. Due to the heaviness in your abdomen area, your lower is already under much pressure.
Wearing high heeled shoes could aggravate this problem. And not to mention, you could be terribly uncomfortable.
5. No Tight Clothing
"Wear loose clothes during your pregnancy," advises Dr. Dhanu. Buy sizes that are at least two or three sizes larger.
After all, you need to accommodate your growing tummy. Also, wearing tight fitting clothes can decrease the air circulation and make you feel suffocated and easily tired.
