Moonraker (1979): During the filming of this movie, producer Albert Broccoli called up director Steven Spielberg requesting permission to use the 5-note leitmotif from the latter's Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977).

A few years later, Spielberg called up Broccoli asking if he could use the Bond theme for a scene in a film he was producing. Broccoli pointed out to Spielberg that the Bond theme contained more than five notes.

Spielberg, suspecting that Broccoli was pulling his leg, kept the banter rolling until Broccoli laughed and gave him permission.
