THE Beijing Summer Olympics to be held in China are just around the corner. Yet, the controversies about the event are far from over.

After global demonstrations against China's human rights record and the upheavals in Tibet, celebrities across the world have declined to run, bearing the Olympic torch through countries, as the tradition goes.

Indian celebs are no exception. Actor Soha Ali Khan, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and football star Beichung Bhutia  have already declined to be the Olympic torch-bearers.
