Love Story (1970)

A tale of two students who come from different backgrounds, 'Love Story' is inspired by Eric Segal's novel of the same name. Oliver Barrett IV (Ryan O'Neal) is a Harvard Law student and hockey jock who falls in love with Jennifer Cavalleri (Ali MacGraw), a Radcliffe music student.

When Oliver tells his dad he wants to marry Jennifer, his dad Oliver Barrett III decides to cut him off from the family inheritance. The movie is about how their love endures in the face of  struggle, hardship and death.
