The Bridges of Madison County (1995)
This 1995 classic directed by and also starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep is set in the summer of 1965. Francesca Johnson (Streep), a lonely housewife, falls in love with Robert Kincaid (Eastwood), a photographer assigned to photograph the bridges of Madison County.
While her husband and children are away, Francesca experiences love for the first time - a short bitter-sweet romance that lasts all of four days.
