Leave it to the Kids!

Yes let your children plan a family weekend for all of you and you two just go along with it. Tell them (about a week in advance) that they must plan something for the family on the coming weekend.

This way they will have time to come up with something creative, fun and even different for all of you.

And remember that no matter what they come up with, you and your husband must go with the flow. This will make your kids very happy and give them a sense of responsibility too.

Besides all of you will have something unusual and different to do.

Bring the Hill Station Home

Who needs to go to hills nearby, when you can get hills home? Yes you may not be able to transport the waterfalls and sights, but you can do everything else. Here is how:

Make sure that you stock your home with corn on the cob (butta), arrange for a sightseeing trip around your city and then eat at a quaint restaurant.

Nothing like spending quality time with one another doing something different.

Movie, Dinner, Friends

A movie and dinner are done things, but how about a movie, dinner and then spending the night at a friends place with your family. And not sleeping over, but having a night-long chat or movie session with your family friends.

Your kids too will be excited about having an all-night time with their friends. And if you are worried about catching up on your beauty sleep, then don't because you have all of Sunday to catch up on it.

Make sure you plan spending the night with your friends in advance. In case they are not too sure about the kids having an all-night party then tell them that you guys have all of Sunday to sleep anyway.

The Stables Beckon

Yes how about a day of horse riding for you and your family? You can surprise your kids with the plan. Tell them that you have a special surprise in store and take them for some horse-riding.

It will be nice if you can find some clubs in your area that provide horse riding as a sport. In case you do not; there are a lot of rides you can get at the local beaches.

And remember it is not just the kids, but you and your husband too that should go riding with your children. Nothing like spending quality time with each other and bonding with one another over a horse ride.
