Within two hours, she starts again. This time, you wake your husband who is fast asleep near you and say, "It is your turn honey."
Are you and your husband sharing responsibilities as far as your child is concerned? Let us find out how some husbands help their wives out
Infants
Age: 0- 6 months
All husbands do not sleep the entire night. There are some who help their wives out by taking care of their kids.
Prashant Champa, father of six-month-old Rahul, has been doing a night shift ever since Rahul was two months old. Prashant says, "Rahul never used to sleep at nights till he turned six months old. I used to do a night shift trying to put him to sleep. I wanted my wife to sleep which otherwise will affect her health adversely."
You can share the responsibility by taking turns to feed your child, change nappies and putting her to sleep.
Tiny Tots
Age: 1- 4 years
When your child is a toddler, it is more about play and he is likely to make a bigger fuss while going to sleep or eating. If you are a housewife, then you can take care of the fussy eating part, while your husband can put him to sleep when he gets back from work.
Rayan Rodrigues, father of two-year-old Reuben says, "Whenever I come back early from work, I take Reuben for a drive on my bike. I also give him a bath. At night, it is my work to put him to sleep by singing songs."
Apart from this, you can probably take turns visiting the paediatrician for routine check-ups.
