Time alone at home? The moment you set foot in at home you face a bunch of questions about your day from your parents or in laws or husband.
You know that you need your space but just do not know how to get it. Is space in your relationships really that important you wonder?
Retain Your Identity
Psychologist and psychotherapist Varkha Chulani says, "When you refer to 'space in a relationship' these days, you mean that besides just time alone to gather yourself and your thoughts, you simply want to be you own person in that relationship."
It is important to understand that when you talk about 'getting your own space' you mean that you are truly crammed for space in either one or several of your relationships. This happens when you feel like you have absolutely no time for yourself, you feel like you are pushed to the limit fulfilling your roles and commitments as a daughter, mother, daughter-in-law, and wife and working executive.
Varkha Chulani says, "You need not lose yourself at the cost of any relationship. It is important that you retain your identity and sense of self."
