From a blissful evening with the man of your dreams to the everyday stuff like chopping veggies the appropriate lighting can make all the difference.

All That Jazz
When it comes to designing your living room, the amount of light options you have is sure to drive you crazy.
Try creating a cosy little area around your coffee table with mood lighting. You could have regular light bulbs with trendy, glass light pendants in colours like yellows or warm oranges for that inviting atmosphere.
If you prefer brighter lighting, then try halogens in designer fixtures. Remember, such lights tend to heat up the room. Equip them with a dimmer so that you can tone down the mood when needed. Track lighting with halogens is another option. They cast light evenly and are great if you wish to highlight a painting or a wall mural.
You could even try more striking lighting in blues and greens from under the seating area to accentuate the contemporary style of your home.
There's nothing like an alluring chandelier with incandescent lighting (light bulbs) above a sprawling dining table or try a couple of pretty suspended light fixtures instead. But it is better to opt for brighter lights than mellow ones at the dining table.
