While most bartenders work full-time, there's enough work out there to keep you busy as a freelancer. Depending on the kind of event, your experience and calibre, you can earn anywhere between Rs. 500 to Rs. 5,000 per night as a freelance bartender. How much you earn ultimately depends entirely on your skill and how badly someone wants you.

Behind the Bar
Bartending is a people's job - it requires odd hours! And contrary to popular belief, women are far safer working behind the bar than being in front of it. No one can touch you behind a bar counter. Make sure your colleagues at work are supportive and protective.
As a woman bartender, the way you work is important. Your body language, the way you hold yourself and show control and confidence in what you do helps you command respect. Don't try and be one of the boys - you are not! Make sure you work just as hard and efficiently and maybe even more.
