The minimum you can charge for a small event is Rs. 25000. This includes the choreography fees, as well as charges for the dancers. However, if the event is bigger, like an awards event, then the choreography charges could go up to Rs.3-5 lakh.
This includes choreography fees, dancer's fees and costumes for the show. If you want to be a choreographer in the film and television industry, you need a license to shoot your sequences. The Dance Director Association of India issues this license, which is called a Dance Director Card.
Sagar says, "With my Dance Director Card, I have the permission to shoot anywhere I want. I shoot for films and television also. Depending on the size of the project, I charge on a per day basis. The minimum I charge is Rs.10,000 - Rs.15,000 per day."
