Freelance writers are usually paid on a per word basis. Rates could differ according to the type of writing, the subject matter and the quality of your work.
The rate for writers without any experience is Re.1 per word. Experienced writers could be paid Rs.3 to Rs.4 per word. In some cases, payment is also made on a contract, or per article basis.
If it is a foreign web site, you would be paid in dollars and you may need a Paypal account for receiving these payments.
As a freelancer, it is up to you to choose the topic and the number of articles you want to work on. Only make sure your pieces are submitted within the given turn around time.
