Learn the Art

The first step to becoming an astrologer is to learn the science. You can enrol yourself for a course in astrology from a reputed institute or you could also learn on a one-on-one basis from an astrologer.

Some good institutes are-

• Indian Counsel of Astrological Sciences
• Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan
• Lucknow University
• Jodhpur University

You could also take a course from a private institution or do an online course.

However, the benefit of doing a course from a recognised institution is that every three to six months the institute will conduct consultations for outsiders. This will give you an opportunity to practise what you have learnt. The great part about this is the consultation is free and there won't be too much pressure.

Start Small

You cannot expect the world to come falling at your feet waiting for your predictions. You need to build credibility and your confidence too.

But as much as you would want to start doing predictions for your family and friends, avoid it. This is because you can never really know how good you are when you do predictions for them. After all, you already know their personalities and past to some extent, which is likely to influence your predictions.

You can start by advertising in your locality and offering free consultations to strangers. When your predictions come to pass you will gain a certain level of confidence and slowly word will spread.
