How much you make from your tiffin service business all depends on the number of tiffins you are able to prepare daily. 10 tiffins is not a bad start. You can price each tiffin at about Rs.75 each until you build a large enough clientele to raise your prices to about Rs.100 to Rs.125.
You can make about Rs.35 to Rs.40 profit on each tiffin when you start out, which means you can make aboutRs.350 to Rs.400 per day. Your monthly income from your business could range anywhere from Rs.10,000 to Rs.12,000.
Once you have an established clientele and you raise your prices, you can make Rs.18,000 or more. Of course, you will have to consider your gas cylinders, salaries to hired help and delivery boy etc.
Get Help
As your business grows, you will need to increase your investment. Not just in terms of tiffins and more raw material (food) but also in terms of hired help.
You can hire someone to do the basic chopping, mixing, frying etc. of the food. But the main aspects of preparing a masala and the actually cooking will need to be done by you. You can expect to get someone to work for you for approximately Rs.1500 per month.

Grow the Business
Advertisements on your local cable TV as well as in classified newspapers can give your business boost. But of course, the best way is by word of mouth. People vouching for the quality of your food and the taste is bound to get you more and more clients.
