When buying bed linen, here are a few handy tips.

Check the fabric quality.

It is very important to check the linen fabric. Often bed sheet sets are packed beautifully in plastic and the colours of the fabric look enticing. But you need to ask the salesman to open up that packing so you can check what you are getting.

Make sure the fabric is neither too thin nor too thick.

Also, lots of brands promise 100% cotton fabric but in actual fact the fabric is a mixture and sometimes not even comfortable to sleep on.

Shop at sales.

You may be tempted to shop at local furnishing stores that don't have too much variety and quality because they are relatively cheaper than the bigger brands.

Well, here is a solution. Wait for sales to buy good quality bed linen at great prices. On an average, a good brand in bed linen will have a sale twice a year. And let's face it, you don't really need to buy bed linen that often. So when there is a sale, buy three to four bed sheet sets, quilts, cushion covers etc.
