ALEXANDRA von Furstenberg, image director for fashion label DvF (Diane von Furstenberg) launched her own line of furniture recently at the DvF studio in New York.

The designer's collection of futuristic tables is made from plastic! She has revolutionised the pieces with a splash of neon giving them that funky, upbeat look.

"It is harder to present a home with less pieces of furniture and clean lines. Clutter is easy," the fashion designer-turned-furniture designer said, explaining her minimalist line of furniture.

Alexandra is not the first fashion designer to get into the home décor market. Coming closer home, we have seen Indian fashion gurus take to interior design too.
